LEASE ADDENDUM: Early Move-In Agreement

I/We, the undersigned, understand and agree that in exchange for the privilege of moving into

apartments unit number

on

I/we will be taking the unit prior to Nevins Real Estate Management performing all the tasks needed to ensure their high standards for move-in conditions are met. The undersigned agree to the following:


  1. If the current tenant(s) who resides in the unit does not move out by the end of the lease date, this would prevent Nevins Real Estate Management from being able to give, the undersigned, possession of the unit. Nevins Real Estate Management would take the proper steps to remove the hold-over tenant(s) but this is done through a legal process. In this rare circumstance, it is the responsibility of the undersigned to find storage for their belongings and a place to stay until possession of the unit can be given. Nevins Real Estate Management does not provide compensation during the time period in which we attempt to vacate the apartment.

  2. The undersigned agrees to accept the unit in an “As-Is” condition upon move-in. Due to time restraints Nevins Real Estate Management will not have time to clean, paint, and perform the required maintenance in the unit.

  3. All Non-Emergency maintenance requests will be performed AFTER the undersigned move in. Non-Emergency maintenance requests are to be written on the “Move-In Condition Form” found inside the move-in packet. The “Move-In Condition Form” found in the move-in packet must be returned to the rental office within 24 hours upon receipt. NOTE: If there is a Maintenance Emergency the resident is to follow the proper procedures outlined in the move-in packet.

  4. Upon termination of the lease, the undersigned understands and agrees to the responsibility of cleaning the apartment in accordance to guidelines set forth in the move-out packet despite the possibility of moving into an apartment that may not have met those standards. (Move-Out Instructions and General Cleaning Suggestions Attached)

  5. Prior to receiving keys or passcodes to the unit, the undersigned, understands and agrees that all qualifying paperwork and payments, including rent, must be submitted and approved by the rental office staff

  6. The original lease date will accelerate to the date and time listed below. All rules, regulations, and terms associated with the original lease agreement become active on this date.

If all terms and conditions of this agreement are accepted, residents may officially take possession of the unit as of:

12:00 PM

(KEYS OR PASSCODES MUST BE PICKED UP FROM OUR OFFICE. PLEASE CALL AHEAD TO ARRANGE FOR PICK-UP.)

NOTE: Nevins Real Estate Management prides itself on providing an enjoyable, safe, and clean living environment for all of our residents. Therefore, we highly DISCOURAGE new residents from moving in to an apartment that is deemed “As-Is”. However, we understand that circumstances do arise whereby an individual needs to move in early due to situations outside of their control.
